For owners who get home after the other clinics close
Meydan covers a wide strip. It runs from the racecourse and the villas around it to the towers of Sobha Hartland. Most owners there work long days and travel often. Their animals are indoor cats, small dogs in flats, and retrievers or doodles in the villa communities.
The reason to choose us from Meydan is the hours. A cat that vomits 3 times at 9 PM can be examined the same evening, with blood results in the same visit. An x-ray or ultrasound is done on site if the vet needs one. You get a written estimate before anything beyond the AED 120 consultation.
Here is the limit. From the Sobha Hartland end, a clinic nearer the city may be a shorter drive in daytime traffic. For a routine vaccine, use whichever is closer. After 8 PM the roads clear and our late hours matter more. After 12 AM the clinic is closed and the urgent care phone line directs you.

From the racecourse side most routes use Al Ain Road (E66). From Sobha Hartland most routes use Ras Al Khor Road (E44). Both bring you to Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 3. The time is an off-peak estimate. The Directions button gives live traffic.

Living with pets in Meydan
Moving a pet in or out of the UAE
Many Meydan residents relocate every few years. Export needs a microchip, a rabies vaccination given after the chip, and a health certificate close to the flight. Some countries also require a rabies antibody blood test months ahead. Start 3 to 4 months early.
Tower balconies
A cat does not judge height well when it is chasing a bird or an insect. Falls from above the fifth floor cause chest injuries and broken jaws. Keep balcony doors closed unless the balcony is netted. A cat that has fallen needs an examination even if it walks.
Long summer trips
If you leave for 4 to 8 weeks in July, plan the pet's care in May. Vaccinations must be current before boarding anywhere. Cats that need no medication can board with us at AED 60 a night. Ask early, because summer places fill.
Lagoons and standing water
Dogs walked near lagoons and irrigation channels will drink from them. Stagnant warm water can carry bacteria and algae that upset the gut. Carry fresh water on walks. Vomiting or diarrhoea that lasts more than 24 hours should be examined.
Flat dogs and weight
A small dog in a flat with a busy owner gains weight quietly. An extra 1 kg on a 6 kg dog is like 12 kg on a person. We weigh your dog at every visit and record it. The vet can set a feeding amount in grams.
After-work appointments
Evening is when most Meydan owners can come. Send a WhatsApp message during the day and we hold a time. If you are running late from the office, tell us. The clinic does not close until 12 AM.
