Digital Radiology (X-rays)
Our digital radiographs allow us to view internal structures such as bones, joints, lungs, and organs. This helps us diagnose:
- Fractures and joint issues.
- Dental disease.
- Internal injuries.
- Foreign objects.
Orthopedic imaging requires pets to remain still, and if necessary, we may recommend light sedation for comfort and precision.
Ultrasound
We use real-time ultrasound imaging to visualize internal organs and structures, which helps us assess:
- Gastrointestinal, circulatory, and urinary systems.
- Soft tissue injuries.
- Tumors, cysts, and fluid accumulation.
Combined with other diagnostic tools, ultrasounds help us pinpoint issues with accuracy—ensuring your pet receives the right care, fast.
When Is Imaging Needed?
- Limping or limb weakness.
- Trauma (falls, car accidents, bites).
- Persistent cough or breathing issues.
- Suspected internal complications.
Preparing Your Pet for Imaging
- Fasting: 8–12 hours before an abdominal ultrasound (water is fine).
- Bring their favorite toy or blanket to help ease stress.
- Medical records: Help us compare and analyze changes.
- Early arrival (10–15 mins) helps acclimate your pet to our lounges.
- Gentle handling: We use pheromones, minimal restraint, and comfort sedation if necessary.
